Syllabus

Course Objectives 

The course explores the question ‘what is a management?’ and investigates the business functions of human resource management, marketing, operations management, accounting and finance. Different internal and external elements of a business are introduced, and the context in which a business operates explained. You’ll explore the common aims and characteristics of business – investigating what makes them different. Business structures, cultures and functions are identified and the political, social, economic, and technological considerations affecting business are introduced.

Course and exam requirements  

Max. 3 absences, seminar tasks (activity, homework, presentation). Written exam in the exam period.

 

Assessment

The calculation of the final grade is as follows:

written exam                  100%               

The final result will be evaluated according to the following schedule:

0–50%                         failed (1)

51–62%                       satisfactory (2)

63–74%                       average (3)

75–86%                       good (4)

87–100%                     excellent (5)
